OBXtek announces new Chief Financial Officer, Aaron Worles
McLean, VA, January 16, 2024 – OBXtek Inc. announced that Aaron Worles has been promoted to Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Worles succeeds Frank Martinez, who has retired from OBXtek after seven years of stellar service to the company. In his new role, Mr. Worles oversees all financial operations and strategy for OBXtek.

Mr. Worles joined OBXtek in 2016 as a Controller, then he was promoted to Vice President in 2019. In his role as Vice President, he planned and executed the company’s financial plans, including directing all accounting operations, overseeing all transactions related to general ledger, receivables, payables, payroll, and financial reporting. Mr. Worles has had many accomplishments, but most notably he successfully oversaw the Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) audit of OBXtek’s approved accounting systems. He implemented the Accounting Standards Codification (ASC) 606 revenue recognition standard and Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) ASC 842 lease accounting standard.

Mr. Worles has over 23 years of experience in commercial and government contracting. Prior to joining OBXtek, he was the Senior Accounting Manager, General Ledger for PAE Inc. Mr. Worles holds a B.S. in Accounting from Shepherd College.
