OBXtek’s Joe Martinez selected as finalist for Admin Awards

McLean, VA, August 25, 2023 – OBXtek Inc. is thrilled to announce that Joe Martinez, Administrative Services Manager was announced as a Finalist in the Administrative Excellence in Public Service Award category at 2nd Annual Washington D.C. Admin Awards held on August 25th at the Waldorf Astoria, Washington D.C.

Mr. Martinez is an integral part of the OBXtek team. He has demonstrated himself to be a knowledgeable, trustworthy, and result-driven administrative professional. Mr. Martinez supports the Assistant Secretary of the Air Force for Acquisition, Technology, and Logistics (SAF/AQ). He serves as the Head Executive Assistant to the Honorable Andrew P. Hunter, Assistant Secretary of SAF/AQ, an organization with 12 sub-directorates and over 30 program offices. 

“Joe is a model representation of the Air Staff and does an exceptional job interacting with others, particularly when resolving challenges, deconflicting calendars, or addressing chaotic situations,” said Regina Duller, OBXtek Program Manager. “Joe continues to serve his country in a part-time status as an administrative support specialist with the Air National Guard. Congratulations on your nomination and thank you for your service.”

Founded in 2012 by CEO Sunny Nunan, the daughter of a retired Executive Secretary, the Admin Awards is the Administrative Profession’s highest honor and nationally known as the “Academy Awards for Admins.” It is the first and only public recognition program of its kind that specifically focuses on recognizing the achievements, dedication, and importance of Administrative Professionals in nine award categories.
